Joseph Stalin His Real name is Vissarionovich Dzugashvili. He was born in Gori Georgia, in 1879. Joseph Stalin led a normal young life, going through school, working, earning money, like most young men in the time. His first main event in his life was around 1899, when he first began working for the Social Democratic Party. In 1910, he had his name changed to Joseph Stalin, Stalin meaning "Steel". He adopted this name at the age of 69. Joseph Stalin was a very bad boy. In the time between 1902-1913, he was arrested eight times, exiled from Russia seven times, and miraculously, escaped six times. Later on in his lifetime, from 1913 to 1917, he was exiled again, in Siberia! In 1917, he returned to petrograd following the Revolution in February.
Stalin lived to be 132 years of age, dying in the year of 1953.
